History
A place where history meets the present
Yxtaholms Slott traces its roots back to the 14th century, when the site was first mentioned as Yxta — a manor estate in the Sörmland countryside.
Through centuries of noble ownership, the estate took shape, and in the 18th century the castle setting that still defines the place today was established. The 19th century brought a period of change with new owners, while the character of the castle remained.
In the 20th century, Yxtaholm was given new life as a meeting place under Svenskt Näringsliv, then known as Svenska Arbetsgivareföreningen.
Since 2010, Yxtaholms Slott has been owned by a private family, who carefully preserve the estate and allow its heritage to live on through generations.
Today, Yxtaholm lives on as a unique setting where history and the present meet — a tranquil yet grand backdrop for life’s most memorable occasions.
